Saltwolf offers design services for whole-house furnishing projects.  We are passionate about design and believe homes should first and foremost, function well for the people that live in them. We love mixing color, vintage pieces, modern furniture and lighting. We believe in a sense of humor with design (and life) and that not taking yourself too seriously just might be the secret to happiness.

Scope Requirements

In order to ensure the best outcome and most cohesive design result, we require a minimum furnishings budget of $150,000 (this does not include construction costs).  Most of the furnishings we select will be a mix of trade-only sources and Saltwolf products, along with vintage and custom-made pieces. We will incorporate as much of your existing furniture, rugs, antiques and art as possible based on the overall goals.

On average, design fees = 10%-20% of your total furnishings budget (charged on an hourly basis @ $295/hr). The total fee depends on how many rounds of changes, options, and in person meetings are required to finalize your design.

Once we begin working together, the typical timeline from consultation to project installation is 8 months (furniture only).

While we do not serve as a general contractor or project manage any construction, we will happily support your builder or architect with tile, paint, lighting, and other fixture and finish selections as requested.

Finding the right designer for your home is an important decision. We have found over the years that it’s important to “date” before getting married. If your project meets our budget and scope requirements*, Lindy will meet with you in your home (or via zoom if you are not in Colorado) for up to two hours. She will spend time learning about your project, your lifestyle, and your goals. She will also create a custom furnishings budget, project timeline, and scope of work agreement based on your time together.

This will help determine if your project is the right fit for Saltwolf, and if Saltwolf is the right design firm for you. If we decide to work together, the initial consultation fee will be applied to your first invoice. Fee: $600

* Please note this is not an a la carte service. It is not available if your project does not meet our scope and budget requirements.

Since 2010, Lindy has owned and operated her own design firm, Lindy Williams Interiors, which in turn became Westward Foundry. In 2020, seeing an opportunity in the to-the-trade furniture market, she and her husband Jordan launched their private label furniture company, Saltwolf, which serves as a place to develop her own designs and gives designers the chance to purchase trade pieces via the web for their clients. Her work has been published in 5280, 5280 Home, Colorado Homes and Lifestyles and The Business of Home.

Lindy earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Marketing from James Madison University and a second in Interior Design from Bellevue College. She has worked in advertising, marketing for the restaurant industry, visual display for Anthropologie and a yoga instructor. In addition to work and family, she loves traveling, cooking, trail running, the ocean and making things with her hands (she’s been an avid knitter since age ten).
